When you have a Thai chef at the helm of operations, you really can’t go wrong. This is perhaps what makes the Thai kiosk at the Food Studio, One Galle Face mall so special. In Thai “suk” means happy and eating from this outlet will definitely leave you with lots of that.

This is probably one of the reasons why you see so many food outlets of various cuisines being opened up daily. Smoking Hearts BBQ has delivered exceptionally well on their concept and offers a style of BBQ that is new to Colombo, taking inspiration from the classic low and slow style of BBQ cooking, marinating deep cuts of premium meats and smoking them with tender, loving care.

Smoking Hearts BBQ is a new kind of venture for Studio Nice One, set up as a partnership with Food Studio; a food court inside of Colombo City Centre mall. We worked as part of a small team to create a new kind of food outlet for Colombo, not only to establish the restaurant but manage it thereafter. Consisting of a collaboration responsible for food & menu development, marketing, photography & video. Smoking Hearts was born out of the need for a quality BBQ spot in the city that focused on slow smoked meats in an immersive setting.
